Unit stopped working after 1.5 years. Bulb does not power on but the unit indicates power. I presume the bulb needs to be replaced and seeking part number and location to purchase. Unit is PHG-1500R.Update 9/20 - I contacted the supplier and they noted the unit had no user serviceable parts. Since the unit is out of warranty they offered compensation ~40% of the purchase price which I accepted. The response was prompt and I am satisfied with the outcome.Nicely slim with a clean modern look for an outdoor heating element! The brackets that attach the unit to the matching brackets that bolt into your wall/ceiling are nicely adjustable to fit your installation location needs. My current patio ceiling is a bit too high and didn't allow the heat level I desired to be possible. Not completely at fault of the heating unit, which is only rated for 900 watts. Completely open floor space with wind blowing in & around would not allow the heat waves to be hot enough on me unless standing directly below it. BUT has an attractive price though! Which is one of the main reasons it caught my attention. For a much cheaper price point than commercial models made for outdoor restaurants & bars/lounges, it really does perform quite well! I was capable of installing it with just a ladder & a Phillips head screwdriver! I decided to pick up some lamp chains and attach either end to the mount brackets on the unit. I then hand screwed in some potted plant hooks and strung up the heater at a lower hanging level. It hangs at my perfectly desired height now and boy does it get cookin!! The provided remote is rather simple and basic feeling, nothing of note there. But it does work well and from a decent distance away. The heater gets up and running super quick to reaching the temperature you set! I have to admit, it's been a great addition to my outdoor home area and a great asset during the colder winter season we been having this year. I I wouldn't say it's possible to adequately keep hot a somewhat enclosed outdoor area of 12ftx12ft. Which may be a bummer for many of you reading this review and wanting it for that size room purpose lol. But it is a great performing wall heater for smaller, under 10ft patio areas, that are mostly open format or enclosed by windows or wire screen. I say trust and take a chance! I think you'll find it impressive & useful for the colder winter season right now. If the warranty is legit & honored, this heater must be well built to have that faith if someone chooses to have it running 24/7. I may purchase another one for a different spot in my home that we entertain guests and like to bum around in there!I purchased two of these for our back deck patio. They have sat uncovered through winter and work just as well as the day we bought them. I am likely going to buy a third one. Keep in mind you may need two different circuits to run two at a time cause if the power draw.Got this ahead of the hugs snow storm hear in Texas. It got down to 2 degrees and my dogs were toasty in their dog mansion. Took me 5 minutes to install it . It has three heat settings. I kept it on the medium heat and it was very comfortable in the dog house . The only thing I don’t like is there is not a way to turn it on without the remote , which is why I gave it 4 stars.Well, it was bought for a summer cottage. It turns out that it needs 15 inches of clearance above the heater. We wanted to put it over a door but that wouldn't work, so now it is mounted in our garage to help collect dust. Also, be aware it ships with some rubber things over the wire grate in front of the heating element. If you don't happen to see them and REMOVE THEM, you will have a stinking sticky mess stuck on the grate pretty dang quick when you turn it on. Pew. Overall a waste of money for my situation. And my white heater is silver. It does throw heat though.So we have turned our garage into a living room and wanted something to make it warmer in there for the winter. We have hung 2 of these from the ceiling and so far they are working great... The garage isn't all that cold so not sure how well it will handle NJ winters. Right now though the problem is that we can only run both of them on 50% power because they are both on the same 20 amp circuit. We are planning on running a 30 amp circuit into the garage so we will be able to run 2 at full blast. When on is on full it puts of quite a bit of heat so I imagine this is going to solve my winter garage problem.Nice looking heater for a fair price but unless you are in a very small area, there isn’t a lot of heat coming off of it. If you are looking for heat in an outside area, you’ll need to sit within 4 feet to really feel the heat enough to enjoy the comfort.
