My LG WM2301H front loading washer had a "tE" error code. I called LG customer service and they told me this was the part number. The part does look different from the one that came out of the machine (original did not have inner loop) but LG told me this is an updated part. The part fit perfectly and machine is running again. I watched a few youtube videos and found that the easiest way to replace was to pull the washer out away from the wall, tilt it back and install from underneath the washer. It took about 20 minutes. There is no need to disassemble the top and front of the washer to fix this. One note, make sure you really tighten the middle bolt that holds the thermistor/heating element in place. The rubber seal expands to prevent water from leaking out.I was receiving the dreaded TE error on my LG Front Load washing machine. After some research, the problem appeared to be the heating element or thermistor. My model doesn't have separate thermistor so I had to change the entire heating element. This was very easy to change out the old heating element and the new one is working well.I have LG Front Loader Washer Model WM2455HW. And it was showing tE (temperature Error) a few minutes into the wash. Replaced the Heater Assembly and for a week now, didn't have tE anymore. But, I had to reinstall this 3 times as the first 2 times, I didn't tightened enough that water leaked out. Since I'm already at it, also replaced the Thermistor for $10 more. It (Thermistor) could also be the cause of the tE.Bought this because I was getting a TE error code on my LG washing machine. Fit just fine. Easy to replace (tilt washing machine to get to it).Turns out this wasn't the source of my TE error after all. A year in the drum seal was leaking right on the thermistor connector and shorting it out.Replaced both heating element and thermistor. Heating element has had a design change from original, but fit perfect for my LG front load washer machine. No more tE error code..My 10 years old LG washer got the “te” code last week and after extensive google search I ordered this and an extra thermador sensor. The part can quickly and the install was relatively easy. Taking the old heater was a bit tricky but eventually got it out. I didn’t install the new thermometer because the other company have a crappy shipping service. However by replacing the heater it took care of the “te” error and all is working great.Worked to repair my washer as neededIt was good that this part was for the heater element and Thermistor cause I couldn't tell which one was bad.
