I thought I needed a new fridge untill I saw this - when this unit fails the inside of the fridge behind the water reservoir ices up -- if you have a fridge icing up check this area first-- can save costly repairs and no need to rush out and buy a new fridge. You will need to defrost the entire inside in order to remove the plastic covers , be careful as the styrofoam may crack. It is the stuff needed to reseal when putting back together-- hope this helps some one else too --it saved me !
